Who We Are
East Coast Security Institute is a professional training organization based in the Conway, South Carolina area, serving private-sector security professionals throughout the region. Our instructional team brings decades of combined experience across emergency services, corrections, military, federal operations, and private security environments.
Our instructors hold state-recognized certifications through the South Carolina Law Enforcement Division and maintain nationally recognized instructor credentials. Backgrounds include over 30 years of emergency services experience; national instructor certification with ASP; Train-the-Trainer credentials through the Community Emergency Response Team (CERT); and instructor certification through the American Red Cross. Additional instructional experience includes extensive service within correctional environments, with a strong emphasis on crisis intervention, behavioral management, and controlled response in high-stress settings. Our team’s combined experience reflects real-world decision-making under pressure, legal accountability, and risk-managed response — all tailored specifically to private-sector security roles rather than law enforcement functions.
